Who would have thought... but instead of the first major succesful advances in creating and growing organs/tissue being in something with a wide applicability- perhaps growing heart cells to replace damaged tissue following myocardial infarction (heart attacks) or you know the ever present need to grow neurons for the brain- instead penises get the guernsey!
That was a bit tongue in cheek- there have been many advances made in other areas- but i thought this one was interesting... heralds well for the future of growing organs! Check out the ninemsn article:

ha ha- yeah I decided it would be great to put the nerdy things i come out with sometime (courtesy of physiology @ Adelaide mainly) to good use- turns out I'm lazy and rarely get around to it!
